Queensland RallY Championship

Here’s A little Bit about us and our history

The Queensland Rally Championship (QRC) has a long and celebrated history dating back to 1963. The main Championship and its support categories cater to a wide and diverse range of people from all walks of life, who enjoy the love of cars and getting out into the bush.

From 1960’s VW Beetles, a variety of 70’s Mazda’s and 90’s & 00’s Mitsubishi and Subaru vehicles, the QRC has been won by many different cars. Some crews use the QRC to just have fun on the weekend. Others have used it as a stepping stone to bigger things. Some have even gone on to win the Australian Rally Championship outright or class.

In the near 60-year history of the QRC, there have been nearly 40 different winners for both Drivers and Co-Drivers. One person has won both a Driver and Co-Driver, and a father and son have won the Drivers’ Championship in different years.

Today’s Championship sees a range of different vehicles entered from older Toyotas and Datsuns to cheap to run Hyundai Excel’s and 4WD Mitsubishi and Subaru cars. All cars compete across the differing Championships and Series from Novice and Juniors to the outright competitors aiming for the Championship win.

A sport for everyone, we love hearing from old and new participants so get in touch.

Great opportunity for crews to get some pacenote practice in before Rally Queensland!🟢 ANNOUNCEMENT — At short notice, we’ve rallied the troops to bring you a small, but mighty event. A Jimna Test and Tune on Saturday the 20th of April. As the date is now available in the calendar, we felt it would be an excellent opportunity to make up for the earlier postponement, but also a timely opportunity to give crews a proper forest run, with pacenoting, in preparation for the upcoming Autumn and Winter events.
• 1 x 10km stage
• Entries capped at 20
• As it is capped, entry preference will be given to Novice crews, or crews with limited pacenote experience.
*UPDATE - ENTRIES OPEN NOW

WSC - Woolgoolga Service CentreOk, I'll be honest, we have faced some challenges and not everything has gone smoothly!
However the plan remains the same, to provide you the safest, best managed and most enjoyable event we possible can. Obstacles to the event have been overcome, however, as we get close to the date, a tough decision had to be made.

To do the Quality Accounting Coffs Coast Rally and entrants justice, it is necessary to reschedule the date to the 25th May. We understand this may upset and inconvenience many of you, however I hope you can understand that these decisions are never easy and only ever taken after much deliberation and weighing up of risks and benefits to competitors and organisers alike.

The date is yet to be officially confirmed with Rally NSW , but we thought it best to give you all, the most time to prepare for the change in date.

I am happy to respond to questions as long as we are all working towards the successful running of the event and a positive outcome for all.

I will endeavor to post any future information as it becomes available.

The Queensland Rally Panel is an advisory group who make recommendations to the Motorsport Australia State Council, based on advice from car clubs about Queensland Rally Championship events.

The Panel also respects both the organisers' right to communicate their messages about their events, and competitors' need to plan appropriately.

The Panel has been advised by the organisers of the Queensland Rally Championship round 2 (Coffs Coast Rally 2024) that they are requesting a date change, and that the Motorsport Australia State Council are reviewing a proposal.

The Queensland Rally Panel is supportive of the Coffs Harbour District Sporting Car Club making the Coffs Coast Rally 2024 the greatest success.

We will update you once we have confirmation of any changes from the Coffs Harbour District Sporting Car Club and Motorsport Australia State Council.

Looking forward to a positive outcome for both the Coffs Coast Rally 2024 and the Queensland Rally & Championship. 25th May looks good 👍

Just wondering why there is a qrc round in NSW Near 300km south of the border.

I feel for the competitors. Queensland crews just seem to keep getting shafted in one form or another.

Gives me more time to fix my shitbox, I’m not complaining.

Hey everyone am Scott G. I'm thrilled to announce that I've won the lottery, and I want to use this opportunity to help those in need. I'm looking for ways to make a positive impact actually made a promise to God to help the needy, DM me if you need any help.
