Queensland RallY Championship

Here’s A little Bit about us and our history

The Queensland Rally Championship (QRC) has a long and celebrated history dating back to 1963. The main Championship and its support categories cater to a wide and diverse range of people from all walks of life, who enjoy the love of cars and getting out into the bush.

From 1960’s VW Beetles, a variety of 70’s Mazda’s and 90’s & 00’s Mitsubishi and Subaru vehicles, the QRC has been won by many different cars. Some crews use the QRC to just have fun on the weekend. Others have used it as a stepping stone to bigger things. Some have even gone on to win the Australian Rally Championship outright or class.

In the near 60-year history of the QRC, there have been nearly 40 different winners for both Drivers and Co-Drivers. One person has won both a Driver and Co-Driver, and a father and son have won the Drivers’ Championship in different years.

Today’s Championship sees a range of different vehicles entered from older Toyotas and Datsuns to cheap to run Hyundai Excel’s and 4WD Mitsubishi and Subaru cars. All cars compete across the differing Championships and Series from Novice and Juniors to the outright competitors aiming for the Championship win.

A sport for everyone, we love hearing from old and new participants so get in touch.

Disappointing to see a great format event cancelled 😢 thanks to those that put in the hard work to get the event to ready to run stage and all the officials that had volunteered.
If you have any questions or comments please get in contact with the event organisers Brisbane Sporting Car Club🔴 Disappointingly, due to not enough entries, we’ve had no choice but to cancel the Jimna Test and Tune with mentors, component of our Pacenote skills week. This promised to be an incredible opportunity for our novices, and others, to learn in the forest, from some of the country’s best. We’re very sad to see this opportunity go by, but we will endeavour to hopefully one day make something like this happen again. Onwards and upwards!
🟢 Wednesday’s Theory Night, with Larisa Biggar is most definitely going ahead and promises to be excellent!
